Equinus Contracture

Equinus contracture is a condition that limits the ability to raise the top of the foot to a neutral position, or right angle, to the lower leg. It’s often caused by tight calf muscles or tendons, but can also be due to other factors, such as: Scarring in the ankle joint capsule, A bone spur at the front of the ankle, Muscle imbalance, Glycosylation of tendons, and Improper bone position.
