Ankle Plating System 3 Cadaveric Lab Part 1: Posteromedial Approach

Anish Kadakia, MD, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and associate professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Northwestern University. Dr. Kadakia is a co-designer of the Acumed Ankle Plating System 3, which features seven plate families to treat fractures of the distal fibula and tibia. This system includes two styles of Hook Plates to treat avulsion fractures and fragment-specific plating to address posterior malleolar fractures. Additionally, both the Lateral and Posterolateral Fibula Plates feature built-in features to address the syndesmosis. This cadaveric video demonstrates a posteromedial surgical approach related to implanting the Posteromedial and Posterolateral Distal Tibia Plates.
