For over a decade, the Polarus Humeral Rod System has provided an excellent means of fixing proximal humerus fractures. Acumed’s goal when designing Polarus was to provide the surgeon with excellent fracture stability through a minimally invasive procedure. When the Polarus was designed, proximal humeral fractures were said to be the last ‘unsolved’ fracture in orthopedics.
