Acumed to showcase new Pelvic Plating System at the 29th Orthopaedic Trauma Association Annual Meeting

Among the portfolio of orthopaedic devices on display at Acumed’s interactive booth (#517) at the 29th Orthopaedic Trauma Association Annual Meeting will be a new pelvic plating system designed to advance the capabilities of surgeons to repair a wide variety of pelvic injuries.
The Acumed Pelvic Bone Plate System includes plates, screws and accessories designed to provide fixation during fractures, fusions, and osteotomies for the acetabulum, sacrum, ilium, and entire pelvic ring, as well as treatment of sacroiliac joint dislocations and symphysis pubis disruptions.
The new system includes enhanced surgical instrumentation and strategically precontoured plates (contoured in places where it may save time for the surgeon, and left un-contoured where necessary to allow for buttressing of fractures).
In addition, unlike other pelvic plating systems currently available, some of the Acumed system’s plates are left/right specific, offering pelvic fixation that closely replicates the patient anatomy.
Special Presentation As part of the rollout of the Acumed Pelvic Bone Plate System, orthopaedic surgeon Charles N. Moon, MD will present a Case Review of Pelvic Treatment with Strategically Precontoured Plates at the Acumed display booth (#517):

-Friday, October 11 at 12:00 pm
Dr. Moon, assistant director of orthopedic trauma at Cedars Sinai Orthopedic Center in Los Angeles, will discuss his operative experience utilizing this new pelvic plating system.
Other Featured Systems Also on display at the Acumed booth will be a new Acute Innovations® RibLoc® Rib Fracture Plating System, a comprehensive system of implants and instruments specifically for repairing rib fractures.
