Ankle Plating System 3 Cadaveric Lab Part 3: Proximal Posterolateral Approach

Anish Kadakia, MD, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and associate professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Northwestern University. Dr. Kadakia is a co-designer of the Acumed Ankle Plating System 3, which features seven plate families to treat the distal fibula and tibia. The system includes two styles of Hook Plates to treat avulsion fractures and posterior malleolar plates to treat trimalleolar ankle fractures. Additionally, both the Lateral and Posterolateral Fibula Plates feature built-in syndesmotic screw options. This cadaveric video demonstrates a more proximal posterolateral surgical approach related to implanting a Posterolateral Fibula Plate or a Posterolateral Distal Tibia Plate.
